Ghee
I tried using ghee more often instead of butter. In conclusion, ghee was excellent. It doesn’t have the same flavor as butter, but its advantage is that it doesn’t burn when cooking meat at high temperatures, which was really impressive. However, for cooking eggs, butter seems to be a better fit. When grilling meat, you don’t really need extra butter, and for leaner cuts, beef tallow works well, so ghee doesn’t feel absolutely indispensable. I’ll probably stick to using butter or fat from meat.
White Rice
I’ve been eating small amounts of white rice to let my small intestine adjust to a low-carb intake. Since I’m likely to live in Korea long-term, I need to experiment more with how much white rice to eat and at what times of day. I should study more about diet before fully incorporating it. I still lack enough knowledge, so it feels a bit early to dive in.
Raw Milk
Holy... the moment I drank raw milk, two thoughts hit me: 1. This is fucking delicious... 2. All the milk I’ve had before was fake. Raw milk had a slight grassy aroma and no fishy taste at all. When I drank it, it was cool, nutty, and creamy, filling my mouth with rich flavor. I thought it was truly the best beverage. The downside is that you can’t get raw milk in Korea. The source of raw milk has to be from grass-fed cow’s milk, which is unlikely seeable in the geological environment of Korea. It’s such a shame that I can’t freely enjoy this fresh milk nearby... Raw milk ... 10 out of 10.
Right Shoulder
The pain in my right shoulder has returned. While doing pull-ups, I got carried away by a sense of determination and pushed past my limit, which seems to have overworked my shoulder. I think I was influenced by the countless SNS and YouTube pull-up guides that push you to "break through your limits." Now, I need to study more, focus on my body, take a recovery period, and exercise moderately without overdoing it at my limit. My misconception that exercise has to be painful to be effective has actually been harmful. I’m letting go of the obsession to do more and will only do what I can without being greedy. I still have a long way to go.
