Steak & Eggs Diet Diary: December 2024

December 1st(Sun) ~ 31st (Tue)

Black Pepper
I used whole black pepper again. It helps eliminate unpleasant odors from meat, adds a pleasant aroma, and is rich in minerals, contributing to the removal of waste from blood vessels. When used together with salt, it creates a synergistic effect, enhancing the aroma and flavor of the food.

Dates
I had dates in the morning. Since there were no bananas, I ate dates instead, and they were surprisingly okay. However, eating more than four seemed to lead to excessive fructose intake, making my stomach feel uncomfortable or causing something to appear on my face.

Fart
In November and December, I think I attended evening gatherings about three times a week. Perhaps because the dinner menus were always delicious, I ended up eating a lot. As a result, I noticed that my frequency of breaking wind and bowel movements slightly increased compared to September and October. I also believe the fruit I eat in the morning (bananas, apples, dates) might be a contributing factor.

Butter
Recently, even when I include a certain amount of butter in my meals, I no longer experience noticeable acne breakouts like before, nor do they occur as often. It seems to be a positive change.

Vegies
This month, I consumed relatively more vegetables, approaching them from a medicinal perspective. I ate foods like kimchi and broccoli to support probiotics and liver detoxification. The side effects didn’t seem significant (e.g. oxalate may cause skin rashes, or kidney stones), so it might be fine to include them in small amounts as needed.

December 2024 Summary:
In March this year, after completing my military service, I feel like I found a healthy lifestyle and diet that works well for me. It’s a sustainable meat-and-egg-based diet (with some fruit added) that allows me to control my cravings while also reducing food expenses. At the same time, I didn’t have to create awkward dining situations by making it obvious that I was dieting when eating with others. Instead, it’s a diet that brings both restraint and satisfaction when living alone, while also being flexible enough to adapt and enjoy meals with others. Like water taking the shape of its container, it’s a strong yet free-flowing way of eating.

Food to Slowly Add Next Month:
Coconut oil (a.k.a MCT oil)

Notes:
There's unusual gas coming out frequently. Winter arc has begun. My (body)skin gets dry easily, making it itchy. When I scratch it, the dry skin tends to tear easily. It seems that the chemicals in shampoo and body wash might be damaging my skin as well. That is why I plan to stop using shampoo and body wash for a month. Instead, I will wash my hair with jojoba oil and cleanse my hair and body with only water + a vitamin moisturizer.

Bowel Movement:
N/A
Notes:
Due to cost constraints, I had no choice but to buy and drink water in plastic bottles. Concerned about the potential accumulation of microplastics, I ate broccoli to support my liver's detoxification function. Historically, plants have been widely used for medicinal purposes, so I consumed broccoli with the mindset of taking medicine. While it does not mean that the liver can completely detoxify microplastics, I applied the advice from Andrew Huberman's podcast, which suggested that broccoli can aid in liver detoxification.

Honestly, I had been craving white rice. It's a natural grain, not a processed food, and has been a staple food for East Asians for a long time. White rice is also mentioned in longevity secrets. I’m considering slowly adding white rice back into my diet next month.

Day 128
Weight:
Morning: 67.7kg
Night: 68.7kg
Diet:
Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs, 1 tangerine, 1 date
Lunch: 2lb of beef eye round + honey
Bowel Movement:
N/A
Notes:
A large potential pimple is detected beneath the surface of the left eyebrow area. Is it because of the carbs I took yesterday? Maybe I should try white rice next month.

Bowel Movement:
around 4:30PM, a golden brown(slightly loose though)

Night: 69.3kg
Diet:
Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs, 1 banana, roasted chicken breast

N/A
Notes:
To celebrate the end of the semester, I spent time sharing food and memories with friends who accompanied me throughout this term. It felt refreshing to sit together and chat after a long time, creating yet another cherished memory in this place. Of course, today's meal wasn't the healthiest from a nutritional perspective, but since days like this are rare, sharing a meal with those who value and appreciate my presence felt far more meaningful. I should run crazy next morning.

Weight:
Morning: 68.5kg

Bowel Movement:
N/A
Notes:
I threw away the sour cream because it had gone bad. From now on, I’ll make scrambled eggs without adding sour cream. It feels liberating to let go of the compulsion to use sour cream. Blueberries Dark Chocolate Ingredients: dark chocolate(chocolate liquor, sugar, cocoa butter, vanilla extract), dried sweetened blueberries (blueberries, sugar, expeller pressed sunflower oil), gum acacia, sugar, confectioner's glaze...I know it’s not healthy or natural food, but I ate it with gratitude because it was given to me by someone I truly respect and want to learn from. While my body is important, the kindness of the person I admire is equally important.

Today was a cheat day. It feels like I ate too many sweets that I ended up with a headache. After running, I moved on to core exercises, but suddenly I got a cramp in my thigh. At first, I thought it was nothing, but it lasted for 5 minutes, and I realized it was serious. Only after the cramp gradually subsided and I drank some salt water did it start to ease further. Phew… Is this punishment for eating something that wasn't food but just tasted sweet? Haha.

Night: 69.6kg
Diet:
Breakfast: N/A
Lunch: 1.3 lbs of NY steak, ugly omelette(4) + honey
Bowel Movement:
around 4:10PM, little loose brown
Notes:
Something like small pimples appeared on my right forearm. It might be due to winter, as my skin gets dry more easily. Or, might be the processed food I had since Christmas.

Dinner: omelette, pork belly, rice, Beef and Radish Soup, highball, oranges, chocolate chip cookies, beef jerky, hershey chocolate
Bowel Movement:
at 7:30AM, diarrhea / around 10 AM, diarrhea
Notes:
It seems today's diarrhea might be causally related to the excessive beef fat from the beef brisket I consumed. Today was the last day of 2024 so I had a little party with some friends. That's it.
