Steak & Eggs Diet Diary: October 2024

Oct 1st (Tue) ~ 31st (Thu)

Meat and Frozen Patties:
The combination of ground meat and eggs is something I still haven’t grown tired of. The taste of mixing honey and salt in moderation also adds to the enjoyment. As a result, I rotate between ground meat, boiled meat, and steak, considering the cost. Eggs are served alongside the meat in various forms, such as scrambled eggs, fried eggs, or boiled eggs.

Frozen patties were surprisingly good, just like ground meat. They have a longer storage period compared to ground meat and are reasonably priced. It’s also very convenient to take out one frozen patty at a time and cook it. I plan to purchase more in the future.

Tallow:
This month, I tried using tallow instead of butter. In terms of odor, it couldn’t surpass butter. However, when cooking meat, tallow performed better than butter. The combination with eggs was somewhat disappointing. The ranking of aroma is coconut oil > butter > tallow. Even when using a large amount of tallow, it didn’t give as many signals to the gut as butter does. I'll get more tallow as long as my budget allows.

Fruits:
The harvest season is over, and winter is approaching. Since fruits don’t naturally grow in winter, I’m trying to minimize their consumption as much as possible (except bananas). I believe honey is the best alternative to fruit. Imagine: on a chilly winter morning, warm scrambled eggs cooked to perfection, paired with honey...

Milk:
I recently had buttermilk and milk, which initially made me feel very healthy and full of energy. However, I later realized that I have lactose intolerance. Therefore, I plan to reduce dairy intake but might occasionally have pure yogurt that's rich in probiotics.

Meal Times (Breakfast and Lunch):
This month, I tried having meals only for breakfast and lunch. In conclusion, I think I need to continue this for a bit longer to see clear results. Since I've been accustomed to intermittent fasting, skipping breakfast for six months, it might take a few more months to understand the full effect. Starting the morning with bananas and eggs turned out to be better than I expected.

Exercise:
Taking a few pinches of salt, water, and a spoonful of honey before working out definitely boosts my energy, making a noticeable difference in my workout intensity. After exercising, I also feel that my muscles and veins look more defined. Even with just 15 minutes of exercise a day, saltwater and honey have become staples in my diet. I should upload my monthy body transformation in the near future.

Oct 2024 Summary: Processed foods may taste good, but considering the aftereffects, I don’t want to eat them. Let’s stick to eating clean and as natural as possible. Also, it seems like my gut has recovered quite a bit. I think having some meals during social gatherings should be manageable from now on.

Food to Slowly Add Next Month:
Butter, Chicken thighs. (Coconut oil, Ghee on December perhaps?)

Carving for: Raw Milk, Kaymak

[DIET DIARY]

Day 52
10.01.2024 (Tue)
Weight: Morning: 65.3kg / Night: 65.7kg
Diet: Breakfast: 4 screwed fried eggs, 4 pieces of short ribs / Lunch: 8 ground beef meatballs, 1 strip of short ribs
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Always eat meat with salt. No water during digestion. I didn’t have honey today.

Day 53
Weight: Morning: 65.1kg / Night: 65.7kg
Diet: Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (4), 1 boiled egg + 2 pieces of beef, 2 pieces of lamb / Lunch: 1lb of lamb (loin, leg), 1 boiled egg + 3 spoonful of honey, half an apple
Bowel Movement: About 1 hour after lunch, banana-shaped, and refreshing
Notes: N/A

Day 54
Weight: Morning: 65.1kg / Night: 65.6kg
Diet: Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (4), 1 boiled egg + 4 spoonful of ground beef / Lunch: 9 ground beef meatballs
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: My nails and hair are growing quickly.

Day 55
Weight: Morning: 65.2kg / Night: 65.4kg
Diet: Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (4), 1 boiled egg + 3 pieces of stew beef / Lunch: 3 pieces of lamb loins, 0.5lb of beef stew
Bowel Movement: Diarrhea about 1 hour after lunch
Notes: The meat might have been spoiled, or my gut may not be able to tolerate lamb (whenever I eat lamb, I seem to have stomach issues on the same day or the next). Cooking meat in the air fryer doesn’t taste as good as when I cook it in a pan (well obviously). The air fryer is convenient, but it seems better to use a pan or oven if time allows. Lately, I've been eating a lot of eggs (6 per day).

Day 56
Weight: Morning: 64.8kg / Night: 65.3kg
Diet: Breakfast: First attempt at making an omelet (5 eggs, didn’t turn out well though) / Lunch: 3 pieces of lamb loins, 0.5lb of stew beef
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: I felt some signals in my stomach.
For a snack, I had Carnivore Crisps jerky, which I really liked. It was simple, made with dried, crispy beef brisket, salt, and beef fat. Unlike Korean jerky, which contains additives and seasonings, this felt pure and healthy. I wish similar jerky was available in Korea.

Day 57
Weight: Morning: 64.5kg / Night: 64.9kg
Diet: Breakfast: Omelet (4 eggs), 4 pieces of skirt steak / Lunch: Skirt steak and 6 pieces of boiled stew beef + 6 tangerines around 3 PM
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: N/A

Day 58
Weight: Morning: 64.5kg / Night: 65.4kg
Diet: Breakfast: Omelet-like rolled eggs (4), frozen patty(1) / Lunch: 3 frozen patties (1lb total), 1lb of skirt steak + honey topping
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: N/A

Day 59
Weight: Morning: 64.7kg / Night: 65.7kg
Diet: Breakfast: 4 fried eggs, boiled stew beef / Lunch: 1lb of cold, hard boiled beef, 2 bananas around 3 PM
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: The bananas I ate after a long time were absolutely divine, almost heavenly. How could nature create such soft, sweet, and tender flesh, hidden inside a peel? It reminded me of an old folktale about country people tasting bananas for the first time after bananas fell off a truck on the highway.

Day 60
Weight: Morning: 64.9kg / Night: 65.5kg
Diet: Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (4), 4 spoonful of ground beef / Lunch: 1lb of ground beef coated with honey
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: I had a gathering at 7:30 PM and ate delivery food, which included mala hotpot ingredients, a bowl of white rice, and fried rice. It tasted better than I expected. After 2.5 hours, I started passing gas (which I rarely do lately). I've recently read that passing gas frequently isn't necessarily a sign of good gut health. If the body absorbs all the nutrients from food, the leftover waste collects in the intestines and produces gas. It makes sense—when I eat meat or fruit, I hardly pass gas or have bowel movements, yet I still feel good and healthy.

Day 61
Weight: Morning: 65.2kg / Night: 65.7kg
Diet: Breakfast: N/A / Lunch: 1lb of ground beef, 4 fried eggs, honey + sparkling water,
snack (Carnivore Crisps)
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: I skipped breakfast because I ate dinner last night. Although I usually have cold hands and feet, today they felt especially cold, even into the afternoon. After a 20-minute warm shower in the evening, I felt a tingling sensation in my hands as circulation returned. Despite eating a lot of rice last night, I haven’t felt any digestive signals.

Day 62
Weight: Morning: 65.2kg / Night: 67.3kg
Diet: Breakfast: Ground beef with 1 egg / Lunch: Went to a Chinese restaurant for a social gathering (rice, stir-fried beef, stir-fried pork, vegetable spring rolls, peanuts, mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork, juicy dumplings, water) / Dinner: 1.5lb of grilled beef patties, a handful of rice, seedless green grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe
Bowel Movement: 3:20 PM, banana-shaped, first bowel movement in 6 days
Notes: The weather is getting colder, and it’s time to reduce fruit intake. On Friday evening, I had a delicious meal at church and indulged in a lot of fruit after a long time—about 200g of each kind. I’m sure I’ll be fasting for breakfast tomorrow. My throat feels itchy and swollen, likely because I slept with my mouth open in the cold.

Day 63
Weight: Morning: 66.2kg / Night: 67.1kg
Diet: Breakfast: N/A / Lunch: 1lb of ground beef, scrambled eggs (4), honey, 2 bananas + buttermilk / Dinner: Mapo tofu, wide noodles, fried rice + snacks: frozen mochi, a bite of ice cream, a few pieces of cookies
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: When I woke up, my stomach was rumbling and I passed gas—unusual for me. It's becoming difficult to stick to my diet while socializing. After eating food other than meat and eggs for the first time in a while, even small seasonings felt overwhelmingly strong. I also had store-bought snacks with artificial ingredients, which initially tasted sweet and nice but left a dry, unpleasant plastic-like aftertaste. Thankfully, I didn’t get an upset stomach today, but I anticipate pimples or bowel issues in a few days. I discovered buttermilk while looking for raw milk at the local market and tried it for the first time. It had a tangy, milky taste (like plain yogurt with the sugar completely removed and a hint of animal milk). I really liked this natural flavor. The smell of buttermilk on my hands became more savory over time. It seems like a good daily snack to enjoy with honey.

Day 64
Weight: Morning: 66.2kg / Night: 67kg
Diet: Breakfast: N/A / Lunch: Scrambled eggs (4), 1lb of ground beef and frozen patty, 8 small figs, 1 black plum, buttermilk, honey + almost a whole bunch of grapes and 4 orange slices around 3 PM
Bowel Movement: 7 PM, banana-shaped
Notes: I ended up eating more grapes than I realized, one by one. With fruit, I need to be mindful of portions. The buttermilk and honey I had with lunch was an amazing drink and snack—nature’s perfect pairing. I also noticed a pimple on the left side of my lips.

Day 65
Weight: Morning: 66kg / Night: 67.1kg
Diet: Breakfast: 3 fried eggs, 1 banana, 4 small figs, 1 black plum / Lunch: 4 frozen patties, honey, 1 black plum, 1 small fig / Snack: 1 cup of warm milk / Dinner: 4 pieces of pork belly, 6 chicken wings and drumettes, 4 prawns, half a bunch of grapes, 3 tangerines,
3 slices of pumpkin pie (about over300 kcal)
Bowel Movement: Once after lunch, and three times between 10-11 PM (the third was diarrhea)
Notes: I ate fruit in the morning for the first time in a while. As harvest season ends and winter approaches, I’ll cut back on fruit, but I’ll likely continue having bananas for breakfast. Eggs and bananas make for a light and healthy start to the day. In the evening, I had a lot of pumpkin pie, which is heavy in sugar and flour, and my stomach reacted strongly. I’ve never been in such pain before a bowel movement—my stomach felt so twisted that I couldn't even walk.

Day 66
Weight: Morning: 65.9kg / Night: 66.7kg
Diet: Breakfast: N/A / Lunch: 1lb country style ribs, 4 fried eggs, 1 black plum, 1 banana
/ Snack: 3 small figs
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Last night, my stomach kept making gurgling sounds, accompanied by mild cramps, so I skipped breakfast. Today, I occasionally felt slight twisting sensations in my stomach. I’m hoping to have a bowel movement soon to relieve this discomfort.

Day 67
Weight: Morning: 65.5kg / Night: 66.1kg
Diet: Breakfast: 2 fried eggs, 6 small figs, 1 banana, 1 strip of country style ribs / Lunch: 1lb of country style ribs and ribeye + honey
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: My stomach is still occasionally making gurgling sounds with mild cramps, but it’s much better than yesterday.

Day 68
Weight: Morning: 65.3kg / Night: 65.8kg
Diet: Breakfast: 4 fried eggs, 1 banana, 1 cup of warm milk + honey / Lunch: 1.5lb boiled country style ribs
Bowel Movement: Once in the afternoon after lunch, banana-shaped
Notes: I tried boiling the meat in both water and milk. When boiled in milk, the broth had a slight creamy sauce flavor, similar to what you’d find in a cream pasta. However, compared to water, the cost-effectiveness of using milk is much lower. Boiling meat in water is far better for making boiled meat.

Day 69
Weight: Morning: 65.3kg / Night: 66.4kg
Diet: Breakfast: 2 cups of warm milk + honey / Lunch: Scrambled eggs (4), 1lb of ground beef, 1 strip of boiled meat, 1 pack of jerky, honey, sparkling water / Dinner: 9 pieces of pork belly, kimchi, 1 bunch of grapes, 4 tangerines
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: I had kimchi for the first time in two and a half months. It tasted so tangy and fresh that I questioned whether this was how kimchi always tasted. It wasn’t unpleasant, and I’m considering adding it back into my diet. As for the fruit, I regret eating it—I shouldn’t have, but I ate it without thinking. I still lack the willpower to put down my chopsticks when needed.

Day 70
10.19 (Sat)
Weight: Morning: 65.5kg / Night: 66.2kg
Diet: Breakfast: N/A / Lunch: 4 fried eggs, 1lb ribeye and country style ribs, 2 frozen patties, plenty of honey, buttermilk, under-ripe Cavendish
Bowel Movement: Around 9 AM, healthy banana-shaped
Notes: N/A

Day 71
Weight: Morning: 65.5kg / Night: 66.3kg
Diet: Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs, 1 cup of hot milk / Lunch: Scrambled eggs (4), 1lb of ground beef, 1 frozen patty + 3 oranges around 3 PM
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: N/A

Day 72
Weight: Morning: 65.6kg / Night: 66.1kg
Diet: Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs, 2 cups of hot milk / Lunch: fried eggs(4), 1lb of grassfed rib eye steaks
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: It feels like nails are growing super fast.

Day 73
Weight: Morning: 65.5kg / Night: 65.7kg
Diet: Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs, 1 cup of warm buttermilk + honey / Lunch: 1lb of sirloin frozen patties, 3 fried eggs
Bowel Movement: around 5:30pm, a very good banana-shaped p**p
Notes: N/A

Day 74
Weight: Morning: 65.3kg / Night: 66.1kg
Diet: Breakfast: 3boiled eggs, 2 cups of buttermilk + honey / Lunch: scrambled eggs(4, from today, sour cream added for scrambled eggs), 3 frozen burger patties(Angus, Sirloin, Grassfed), honey, chicken crumbs from Carnivore Crisps
Bowel Movement: at 11 am, very urgent diarrhea
Notes: assume that I may have Lactose Intolerance. The buttermilk was cultured milk. Perhaps I should restrain milk or dairy products from my diet for a while, except greek yogurt which I'll try tomorrow morning.

Day 75
Weight: Morning: 65.6kg / Night: 66.1kg
Diet: Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs, greek yogurt + honey / Lunch: 1lb of grassfed burger patties, fried egss(4)
Bowel Movement: around 12pm, diarrhea.
Notes: The greek yogurt I had in the morning made my stomach hurt and eventually led to a super watery diarrhea. No more dairy products. I did not think I have a lactose intolerance, but sadly as of today, it turned out I do actually.

Day 76
Weight: Morning: 65.3kg / Night: 66.2kg
Diet: Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs + 1 cavendish banana / Lunch: burger patties(4), scrambled eggs(4, butter & sour cream), greek yogurt + honey / 1 apple before workout / Dinner: about 15 marinated spicy chicken pieces, some grapes, 2 small shrimps.
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Greek yogurt after having the patties and scrambled eggs was great. Neither vowel
movement nor irritating signal in stomach can be found. Scrambled eggs mixed with butter and sour cream has a fluffy texture as a scrambled egg from a fine restaurant. It was fantastic.

Day 77
Weight: Morning: 65.3kg  /  Night: 67.2kg
Diet: Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs, an apple + 1 teespoon of honey  /  Lunch: BBQ restaurant(at least 2 lbs of beef and pork, some pumpkins)  /  Dinner: 2 pieces of Dubai chocolate, 1lb of Dakgangjeong, vegie tenpura, fried rice, 9 pieces of kimbap, a bowl of yogurt icecream topped with some kiwis & mangos & strawberries and blueberries
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Today was the big social event day so I had to have a massive food with the people I met in lunch and dinner. It was quite a journey but memorable day.

Day 78
Weight: Morning: 67kg  /  Night: 66.6kg
Diet: Breakfast: N/A  /  Lunch: 3lbs of sirloin patties, scrambled eggs(4), greek yogurt + honey / Snack: an orange, Dubai chocloate 6 pieces, 1 small block of chocolate
Bowel Movement: around 9 am, a good one.
Notes: Even though I had some junk foods or the food outside of carnivore, my gut did not have a serious cramping pain at all like before.

Day 79
Weight: Morning: 66kg  /  Night: 66.4kg
Diet: Breakfast: an apple, omelette(3)  /  Lunch: 1lb of ground beef mixed with eggs(4), greek yogurt + 4 pieces of Dubai chocolate, honey
Bowel Movement: around 4pm, a good one.
Notes: personally want to work at bbq restaurant at this point or should I?

Day 80
Weight: Morning: 65.9kg  /  Night: 66.7kg
Diet: Breakfast: scrambled eggs(3) + honey  /  Lunch: 3 frozen burger patties, scrambled eggs(4) / Dinner-like snack: 1 pear, 2 apples, 3 Lotte choco pies, 1 rice snack around 9 p.m.
Bowel Movement: yes, kinda loose stool (assume that it is caused by one spoon of sour cream in the morning)
Notes: Since I worked out in the morning, the overall metabolism today became relatively high. As a consequence, I craved for food at evening. It was quite interesting to experience a situation where even a tiny snack can make me hard to resist its sweetness when I am too starved.

Day 81
Weight: Morning: 65.9kg  /  Night: 67kg
Diet: Breakfast: N/A / Lunch: 4 frozen sirloin burger patties, scrambled eggs(4), greek yogurt + honey / Dinner: Mala xiang guo (mostly had brisket only), a bowl of rice and fried rice.
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Have to fast next morning again.

Day 82
10.31 (Thu)
Weight: Morning: 66.5kg  /  Night: 67.3kg
Diet: Breakfast: N/A /  Lunch: omelette(4), 3 sirloin burger patties, 1 pear
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: carbs I had yesterday doesn't seem to be out of my body yet. Eggs and meat are indeed super natural healthy food.
