Steak & Eggs Diet Diary: September 2024

Aug 10, 2024 (Tue) ~ Sept 30, 2024 (Mon)
I've gotten used to a meat-based diet, and it's no longer overwhelming. There’s also been fun in choosing various cuts of meat from a single ingredient. I’ve also added eggs to my diet, which turned out to be more effective than I thought. Eggs give a subtle sense of fullness, can be prepared in various ways depending on the cooking method, and are easy to eat. Currently, my favorite form of meat is ground meat. Mixing it with some organ meats allows me to consume a variety of nutrients at a lower price, and it's a great value given the quantity, making it a win-win. Next month, I plan to experiment with frozen patties from Costco.

I need to figure out whether my body isn’t absorbing fat as well as I thought, or if the butter I'm using is the issue. So, next month I’ll switch from butter to beef tallow, which is pure beef fat. It’s liquid at room temperature, but slightly more solid than butter when refrigerated.

Fruits are sweet and delicious, but the problem is that I eat them unconsciously. I need the willpower to stop at just two or three pieces. However, in ancient times, humans probably didn't eat much fruit during fall or winter. As the weather gets colder, it seems better to focus on meat in the upcoming winter arc.

For exercise, I’ve noticed that consuming salt, water, and honey before workouts gives me more energy, allowing for more intense sessions. Especially after consuming salt, I can visibly see muscle fullness (or pumped) during exercise.

I’ve changed a routine I had maintained for over six months. Instead of skipping breakfast, I’ve started eating it, followed by lunch. Breakfast is light, mainly protein. So, I plan to eat warm eggs in the morning, and a small amount of meat should be okay too.

My skills in cooking meat in a pan have improved significantly.

In Conclusion: Shoutout to ground beef and eggs. Frozen patties, don’t let me down. My intestines seem to absorb less fat than expected, or maybe casein protein is to blame. Should control fruit intake. Salt+water+honey before workouts. Let’s eat protein, especially eggs, for breakfast. I want to drink freshly squeezed raw milk.

Food List I Can Safely Eat :
Carbs: Fruit, honey
Protein: Beef, eggs
Fats: Fat from meat
Other: Spring water, salt (electrolytes)
Currently Testing: Lamb, Next are (frozen patties), (coconut oil, ghee), (chicken to be added in November)
[DIET DIARY]

Day 31
(09.10.2024 Tue)
Weight: Morning: 65.5kg / Night: 66.2kg
Diet: Lunch: 3 eggs + butter + 0.5lb of ground beef / Dinner: Short ribs and sirloin + butter
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Exercised before dinner. Not sure if it's because of the butter, but something's breaking out on my skin again. It could also be a delayed reaction to food I ate a few weeks ago.

Day 32
Weight: Morning: 65.6kg / Night: 66.5kg
Diet: Lunch: Short ribs + 2 eggs / Dinner: Short ribs + 1 egg
Bowel Movement: About 1.5 hours after waking (loose), diarrhea in the afternoon
Notes: I’ll need to boil a week's worth of eggs on the weekend.
Not sure if it's the eggs or the meat, but felt nauseous. Something keeps appearing on my chin. Suspecting butter.

Day 33
Weight: Morning: 65.8kg / Night: 66.7kg
Diet: Lunch: Ground beef meatballs, ribeye, sirloin / Dinner: Ribeye, sirloin, butter
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: N/A

Day 34
Weight: Morning: 66kg / Night: 66.3kg
Diet: Lunch: Ribeye + scrambled eggs, butter / Dinner: Ribeye, butter
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Tried a new butter today. It had a slightly sour taste since it didn’t contain salt. I think I ate a total of 1.5 pounds today. I’m feeling full for longer, so my portion sizes are decreasing.

Day 35
Weight: Morning: 65.4kg / Night: 65.4kg
Diet: Lunch: 1lb of tenderloin and lamb leg + scrambled eggs (3 eggs)
/ Dinner: Skipped due to fullness
Bowel Movement: Severe diarrhea around 3:40 AM, diarrhea again in the morning (Seems like I couldn’t digest the fat well, likely due to eating too much butter. There may also be an issue with electrolytes (salt). Avoiding water before and after meals might help with fat digestion).
Notes: I’m oddly craving honey.

Day 36
Weight: Morning: 65kg / Night: 65.8kg
Diet: Lunch: 1lb of lamb leg + scrambled eggs (2 eggs), 1 boiled egg / Dinner: Skipped
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: After lunch, I received a handful of Songpyeon at church for Chuseok. I couldn’t refuse, as it felt disrespectful to the holiday and the effort put into making them. The filling was sweet with a brown tint, and while it wasn’t overly sugary, I definitely felt a dopamine rush with dilated pupils.

Day 37
Weight: Morning: 65.3kg / Night: 66kg
Diet: Lunch: 2 fried eggs, 2 boiled eggs, lamb leg, and sirloin / Dinner: Skipped
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: It seems that eating butter directly was the issue. My body can only handle a small amount of butter fat (due to my body temperament perhaps). Eating a bit more salt (electrolytes) seems to be improving my condition.

Day 38
Weight: Morning: 65.5kg / Night: 66.3kg
Diet: Lunch: Meatballs (1lb grass-fed ground beef), scrambled eggs (2 eggs), 1 boiled egg + honey / Dinner: 3 pieces of jerky, 1 egg, 0.5lb of pork belly + honey
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: I plan to buy natural honey made by bees from flowers. I found out that there are some honey products made by feeding sugar to bees… even honey isn’t safe.

Day 39
Weight: Morning: 65.7kg / Night: 66.1kg
Diet: Lunch: Lamb leg + a strip of pork, 2 boiled eggs + honey / Dinner: 2 spoonfuls of honey before workout
Bowel Movement: Once after lunch (loose, not solid; resembled moss drifting down a river)
Notes: N/A

Day 40
Weight: Morning: 65.2kg / Night: 65.7kg
Diet: Lunch: 1lb ground beef, scrambled eggs (4 eggs) + honey / Dinner: 2 small strips of pork belly, 5 pieces of leftover sirloin, liver, 1 boiled egg + honey
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: N/A

Day 41
Weight: Morning: 65.4kg / Night: 65.4kg
Diet: Lunch: 1lb tenderloin, 1 boiled egg + 2 spoonful of honey / Dinner: N/A
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: N/A

Day 42
09.21.2024 (Sat)
Weight: Morning: 65kg / Night: 66.7kg
Diet: Lunch: 1lb Costco ground beef + scrambled eggs (4 eggs) + 2 boiled eggs + 2 spoonful of honey / Dinner: Chicken breast, boiled eggs, a little scrambled eggs + 1 banana, sliced melon and pineapple, grapes
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: After lunch, around 3 PM, I ate a lot of fruit as a snack: 1 banana, 1 orange, 1 apple, a plate of sliced melon and pineapple, plus a bit of boiled and scrambled eggs. I went to the cafeteria and tried to eat as clean and moderate as possible. There was no ruminant meat at the cafeteria (maybe because it's expensive). Still, I resisted the sweet temptation of cupcakes, bread, and donuts. At this point, I find that the meat I cook at home is the most comfortable. If time allows, I want to cook my own meals for the rest of my life.

Day 43
Weight: Morning: 65.8kg / Night: 66kg
Diet: Lunch: Ground beef, scrambled eggs, 1 boiled egg + 2 spoonful of honey, apple, banana / Dinner: 1 egg, a teaspoon of honey before workout
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Something is starting to break out on my face. I suspect three possible causes: 1. Excessive stress, 2. The large amount of fruit I've eaten in the past two days, 3. Irregular sleep due to staying up late or waking up too early for assignments. I just want to live in a remote mountain with animals and build my own family.

Day 44
Weight: Morning: 65.2kg / Night: 65.9kg
Diet: Lunch: 1lb lamb leg, 2 boiled eggs, banana + honey / Dinner: N/A
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: At night, I had a cramp in my calf while sleeping. I realized I didn't add enough salt to my lunch, but it was too late. When I get cramps in my calf, I should eat more salt.

Day 45
Weight: Morning: 65.1kg / Night: 65.8kg
Diet: Lunch: Ground beef meatballs + scrambled eggs (4 eggs) / Dinner: 1 boiled egg + 4 spoonful of honey + 1 piece of jerky
Bowel Movement: Once after lunch, large and dark (After 6 days, my anus felt a bit sore. It reminded me of the line from the movie Jeon Woochi about having a bowel movement every three days.)
Notes: I want to make my own jerky and beef tallow. Why is all jerky always seasoned?

Day 46
Weight: Morning: 65.1kg / Night: 65.3kg
Diet: Lunch: 1lb ribeye, butter, 2 boiled eggs + 2 spoonful of honey / Dinner: N/A
Bowel Movement: Experienced nausea after the meal, followed by severe diarrhea about 30 minutes later.
Notes: Having butter directly was the problem. Eating raw butter provided too much fat for my small intestine to handle. After finishing the butter I have, I plan to try ghee or beef tallow. I didn’t think I had lactose intolerance, but I suspect casein protein may be the issue. After six weeks, I think I can comfortably accept unexpected carbs from acts of kindness as long as I don't buy them myself. My carbs will remain fixed on fruit and honey (since eating bread or flour makes me feel heavy and causes red acne-like spots on my skin). From now on, I can graciously accept offerings like rice cakes and fruit without hesitation!

Day 47
Weight: Morning: 64.7kg / Night: 65.3kg
Diet: Lunch: Less than 1lb of ground beef meatballs, scrambled eggs (4 eggs) / Dinner: 2 boiled eggs + 2 spoonful of honey
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: I forgot about coconut oil. If I do have lactose intolerance, I can cook with coconut oil instead of butter.

Day 48
Weight: Morning: 64.8kg / Night: 65.4kg
Diet: Lunch: 1.5lb ribeye, 3 screwed fried eggs, 1 boiled egg + honey / Dinner: N/A
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Ate salt, water, and honey before exercising. I also had honey and water during the workout. It did give me a slight energy boost, but it seems better to consume it before exercising. I came across a Bible verse today: "Eat honey, my son."

Day 49
Weight: Morning: 64.7kg / Night: 64.8kg
Diet: Breakfast: 1 boiled egg / Lunch: 1lb lamb and ribeye, plenty of honey
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Recently, while studying in the morning, I've noticed it's hard to maintain focus on an empty stomach. So, I plan to eat warm eggs in the morning to help wake me up. Eating protein-rich warm eggs in the morning not only nourishes the brain but also contributes to waking up my body’s biological rhythm (chewing stimulates the brain and eating warm food in the morning helps raise core body temperature). If I eat within an hour of waking, my heart rate increases and my stomach feels uncomfortable, so I plan to eat lightly with eggs about an hour after waking. Since I’m not eating dinner lately, this naturally leads to a fasting period of over 18 hours until the next morning. I'm looking forward to tomorrow’s breakfast for the first time in a while.

Day 50
Weight: Morning: 64.6kg / Night: 65.8kg
Diet: Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (4), 1 meatball / Lunch: 1lb short ribs (3 PM: 2 rolls of kimbap, 1 cup of tteokbokki, 5 tangerines, 2 apples)
Bowel Movement: Diarrhea 30 minutes after lunch
Notes: I used more butter than expected when cooking the meat. I thought it was a small amount, but I’ll need to reduce it further.

Day 51
09.30.2024 (Mon)
Weight: Morning: 65.3kg / Night: 66.1kg
Diet: Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (4) + 5 pieces of short ribs / Lunch: 2 boiled eggs, about 1lb of short ribs, 1 apple + honey
Bowel Movement: N/A
Notes: Switched to using beef tallow instead of butter.
