Steak & Eggs Diet Diary: March 2025

Restaurant
It was hard to find a restaurant outside that only served pure meat without using various seasonings, vegetables, or seed oil. Moreover, such restaurants were quite expensive. Of course, there’s the advantage of enjoying the service or the restaurant’s atmosphere, but if food is the main purpose, buying groceries and grilling meat at home is a way to save both time and money. I think it’s preferable to only occasionally visit a steakhouse on really special days.


Tea
I stopped drinking tea daily. At some point, I started waking up during deep sleep as my sleep became shallow, and muscle spasms began occurring in my left shoulder and biceps. The ingredients used in tea also may carry glyphosates and pesticides, so I’m completely ruling it out. In the past, I enjoyed the bitterness and aroma of tea, but now I may need to control drinking tea as needed.

Brushing Teeth
For three days, I only ate animal food—meat, eggs, and honey—and surprisingly, even without brushing my teeth, there was no bad smell. I asked my roommate to check my breath, and he said it only had warmth, just like normal human breath. (when I told him I hadn’t brushed my teeth for 3 days, he was absolutely amazed).

No Fat in Beef Patty
When I only ate non fatty beef patties, I felt less full. So, it seems necessary to pair them with chicken or eggs. Alternatively, a fatty, moist cut of meat that also contains some fat might do the trick.

White Rice
I didn’t plan to eat much white rice this month, but I discovered two things. First, even when I ate only white rice and meat, my bowel movements didn’t happen quickly, which makes me think white rice might not leave many unabsorbed nutrients in the gut. Second, it is a great snack option when I’m hungry—especially during long stretches of activity when I’m low on energy. It’s definitely a better pick than processed foods.

  • Notes: Woke up around 7:30AM. After eating the meal provided by the school, I felt bloated. I kept feeling thirsty, and red-tinged saliva came from my mouth. It could be partly because of my gluttony, but compared to the usual satiation from eating eggs, meat, and rice, my stomach felt unusually tight and it was hard to stand. And then more importantly my head hurt. I had never experienced a headache during digestion, no matter how full I was. It was so strange. About three hours later, I vomited heavily, and after that, I felt light and mentally clear. I also felt refreshed. This experience made me fully determined to refrain from eating anything other than real natural food from now on. I looked up the nutritional information of the cupcakes, one of the desserts provided by the school, and it was stated as the following:
